Monster Inc.

Studio: Pixar/Disney
Starring: Billy Crystal, John Goodman
Directed by: Peter Docter
Rating:

This is a movie you really have to keep your EYE on – bwah haha. OK, so that line is not so funny, but the movie is. It's an exciting animated film that takes computer animation to another level.  I’m not talking closer to reality like Final Fantasy either. Monsters Inc. has some really incredible monsters with fur, slime, and other body parts that follow many of the realities that we perceive everyday.

You may recognize some of the marvelous voices that were used to bring these characters to life. None other than Billy Crystal, John Goodman, James Coburn, and Steve Buscemi lend their voices to the main monsters that bring you the laughs and/or the scares depending on your age.

I'm sure we’ve all seen a movie or two starring these guys and know what they're like. Therefore, putting them together can only be magic. That’s what I’d say part of M-Inc. is all about – a little touch of magic. Not that the other films of these superstars weren't terrific, but they certainly did have their moments.

M-Inc. had me laughing constantly, along with everyone else in the theatre, at the countless jokes, puns, and physical comedy. I know, hard to believe that there could be physical comedy in an animation, but once you've seen it I'm sure you'd agree that it is a significant part of this film's charm.

Adult or child, I guarantee you’ll enjoy this movie. I was attracted to it not only because of the trailers, but also out of sheer fascination for computer animation. In the near future, I plan to return to school to learn how to create incredible images like those you’ll see in this movie. And who knows, maybe someday you'll be watching an animated movie with my special touch included. Go see it, you won't be sorry.
