This isn't technically eggy material, but I have to put a word in on Elite Entertainments Drive-In Discs series. Most recently I BURY THE LIVING B-sided with THE HAND, two 1960 Drive-In classics...
There are 22 original Drive-In trailer segments, from "Let's All Go To The LObby" to a hilarious ad for a chocolate malt drink called "Toddy", are included along with two Gumby shorts and some kick-ass Drive-In menus...
On top of that, add the DISTORTO-SOUND feature, which plays the feature audio on your front left speaker and ambient Drive-In sound in the other 4.1...
Select the "Ticket-Booth" menu and start the film, and you get a full-boat Drive-In experience, with all of the trailers, car doors opening and closing, engines being turned off, audience members chatting, footsteps in the gravel beside your 'car', so on and so forth, until the feature starts and everyone keeps respectfully quiet (aside from the crickets). Then check out the intermission and snack bar ads before the second feature starts, all of this accompanied by Drive-In sound...
This was one of the coolest discs I've checked out in a long time and is a must-have for any fan of the Drive-In experience or the kind of old-school showmanship that gave us 3-D and Hypnovision!!!
